The rains cometh

March was a wet wet month

over 300 mm of rain when the average is less than 100 (my statistics)

The "road"  to our house became a river, the word "stream" doesn't do it justice, as you can see

Good thing it wasn't deep.

The life of a lawn mower

I'm writing this more in the hope that this way I'll remember the damn model of the lawnmower than with any hopes of memorializing the beast.

Not to say that it hasn't been a good buy. It has. rated for no more than 1200 sq m this little wonder has been doing just shy of 15,000 for more than 4 years now. and given the little care that I've given it I'm surprise it is still going strong. I dare say it will out live my staying capabilities

I'm deliberately not adding the maker or model so that it can't be used by search engines. But if anyone happens to stumble across this I highly recommend it, and the maker in general. I recently had it in for an overhaul, they changed the fuel tank, it was leaking the start rope, it had broken and the drive shaft, it had also broken, all for 75 euros not bad. by the way the breaks where due to my overuse and not to faulty design or workmanship.

As I said earlier, the beast is still going strong, even though it has lost a few screws, but I'm looking to replace it with a ride on mower. so stay tuned..

Update 26-4-14
The beast is about to be put out to pasture, it is suffering from the same maladies, leaky fuel tank, I finally figured out why, broken drive shaft, need to stop driving into those rocks)

So I've taken the the leap and order a ride on mower, the Viking m4 4082 - I'm planning on looking after this one :-)
